This solarplate from Dan Welden has been over washed but gave me an opportunity to try a technique of laying ink into the etched area and cleaning top, then rolling up a second colour on the surface.

Feilding Rangers and Girl Guides

The Feilding Guides and Rangers Group along with 3 of their Leaders spend one and a half hours making a book and then printing some 'clip art' from the Museum collection of homeprint.
Girls sort through the blocks to find one they like to add to their 'clip art' page.

Kerry is looking down on his latest mural, biro drawing on paper, as yet unfinished with a plan to draw at least one more full row of panels.

The Village Gallery - Bookbinding Workshop

The first stage in the bookbinding process is to fold your paper. We used Eden Grove, white, 90 gsm, A2 sheet. It was very nice to work with and had a laid pattern and a watermark.
Michaela Stoneman had worked very hard to organise this successful workshop in conjunction with an 'Impressions' a fine exhibition of contemporary printmaking.
I was impressed with the enthusiasm and skill of the 9 participants.

Marty invited me to view his newly restored Ludlow type caster. The pot that holds the molten type metal heats up to 600 degrees and then is ready to cast lines of type. With some experimentation with the type box, individual type may be cast.
