The Homeprint Library is a serious workroom. Monica is checking the level of the Michael Smither lino carving as part of the collection of Smither works for sale in this room. Under the paintings and screenprints, drawings, relief prints, lino prints there is a significant library of books. The library is made up of Artist books from around the world, letterpress manuals, type catalogues, printmaking, art, old, poetry and a few coffee table books for reference. In this room I have a set of 2 x 5 AO mapping draws which also acts as my cutting table for picture framing.

IngSong, Parndej Churaipon, Woofer from Thailand

The smell was tempting the taste divine. IngSong loved to cook for us during his stay with us as a WWOOFer. He was very kind and didn't sprinkle the Thai spices too liberally on our meal. The prawn cutlets were very wonderful and we have already bought some prawn meat from Davis Trading to cook some more. Allison poses with the chef.

A fine first fish for Elie. I took Alex and Elie out to our favourite fishing spot and much to the excitement of Elie and Alex, Elie hooked up and reeled in a large Kahawai.
We took it home and after the photograph I showed them how to remove the fillets and smoke the backbone. The fish was so nice. We enjoyed 2 full meals for the 4 of us from just that one fish!

Alex and Elie have had their first experience of helping a group of students to set wood type, ink up and print a poster on the flat bed, 180 year old, Imperial Press.
We are now out on the front deck as students sign the visitors book.
